Check the setup before registering
For the online test, ICBC requires a desktop or laptop rather than a phone or tablet. Keep the webcam on throughout the test. Check the current registration and environment requirements on ICBC’s page before paying.
A practice quiz working on a phone does not show that the phone is allowed for the official test. Try the camera and the connection in the place you intend to use, and plan for interruptions. These are preparation checks, not a compatibility test performed by this website.

Use ICBC’s appointment information and the instructions for the actual location. An ICBC office, Service BC location and driver licensing agent may arrange appointments differently. Do not assume that a road-test booking screen reserves a knowledge test.

Bring the accepted identification, including the primary ID used for registration, the pass-confirmation email and the required licence payment. ICBC lists further items such as corrective lenses and consent where applicable. Check the current instructions for your own visit. Passing online does not authorize you to drive.

Choose the test setting based on your circumstances, not a claim that one route has easier questions. Put away study notes and other assistance before the official test. After your licence is issued, check the L restrictions before arranging supervised practice.
