Listening practice
Listen to original English and French recordings, answer questions, and replay the evidence behind each answer. Nine short lessons, all free.
These fictional, original lessons practise listening skills; they are not official CELPIP, TCF or TEF questions or a full-length mock exam. Replay as often as you need.
Audio is pre-made with synthetic voices. English and French use their own original scripts; the recordings are not presented as human performances or a Canadian-accent test.

Hello, this is a message for everyone registered for Saturday's small-appliance repair workshop. The workshop will still begin at ten thirty, but we have moved it from the kitchen on the ground floor to Room Four upstairs. A water leak means the kitchen cannot be used this week.
Please use the lift beside the main entrance if you are bringing a heavy item. You may bring one appliance, such as a lamp or a toaster. Our volunteers will provide tools, but please bring a notebook if you want to record the steps. Do not buy replacement parts before the workshop, because we need to examine each item first.
If the room change makes it difficult for you to attend, email us by Friday afternoon. We can move your booking to the next session without an extra charge. Otherwise, there is no need to reply. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
