Stop, and go only when it is absolutely safe

This is a stop sign. You must come to a stop and not move on until it is completely safe to do so.

  2. Regulatory signs · Road sign

Downward-pointing white triangle with a wide red border

What does this sign require you to do?

Give way to cross traffic and pedestrians

At a yield sign you give the right-of-way to traffic that is not facing the sign and to pedestrians in the intersection or crosswalk.

  5. Regulatory signs · Road sign

White square with a red circle and a white horizontal bar

You see this sign at the entrance to a street. What does it mean?

You must not enter this street

This is a do not enter sign. You may not drive into the street it faces.

  6. Regulatory signs · Road sign

White square with two black arrows pointing in opposite directions

You drive past this sign. What has changed?

You are no longer on a one-way road

  7. Regulatory signs · Road sign

White square with a black island shape and an arrow passing to its right

This sign is on a traffic island ahead of you. What must you do?

Pass to the right of the island

The keep right sign is placed on islands and obstructions and requires you to pass on their right side.

  8. Regulatory signs · Road sign

White square sign showing two vehicles side by side, crossed by a red circle and slash

    What does this sign mean?

    Passing is not permitted

This is the no passing sign. You must not overtake other vehicles where it is posted.

  9. Regulatory signs · Road sign

FAQ

Nunavut Class 7 flashcards: questions

Where do these flashcards come from?

502 cards are points from our study notes, which we write from the official Nunavut Driver's Manual; the front names the rule and the back states it. The other 42 cards show a road sign drawing on the front and its meaning on the back, as in our road sign questions.

How should I use the flashcards?

Read the front, answer in your head, then flip. Choose "Got it" only if you knew it; otherwise choose "Review again". At the end, go through the "Review again" cards once more, or pick a single topic from the list to focus on it.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, on this device only. Cards marked "Review again" stay in the "Needs review" list, and every card you rate counts towards your topic map on the exam overview. Nothing is sent to us with your name; you can clear it from the overview page.

Are flashcards enough to pass the Nunavut Class 7 test?

No. Flashcards help you remember the rules, but the test asks multiple-choice questions. Use our practice tests and mock exams as well, and study the official material from Government of Nunavut — Economic Development and Transportation, Motor Vehicles.
