Keep the confirmation email and access code
The official process includes an application information form and payment. After payment, the service emails confirmation. You can start the online test then or return later using the access code. Our practice page does not issue that code and cannot book or start your official attempt.
Before beginning, use the sample test offered within the official testing process to become familiar with its operation. Treat our own free questions as preparation and close reference materials for the official sitting.

Original worked examples
Phone-only evening: a learner studies comfortably on this mobile site and assumes the official test works the same way. It does not accept a phone. Arrange a desktop or laptop with a webcam before starting the paid service.
Shared family inbox: the access code is in an email account the learner cannot currently open. Recover access before beginning rather than depending on another person to retrieve it mid-test.
Helpful relative: someone offers to remain nearby and explain questions. The official test must be completed alone without assistance. Discuss difficult topics during practice, not during the test.
A pass message does not issue the licence
Nova Scotia says each part must be completed within thirty minutes. Results are normally immediate; an online attempt flagged for review can take about one week. A review delay does not authorize driving.
After passing online, visit Registry of Motor Vehicles or Access Nova Scotia for the remaining requirements, including vision screening, identification, consent if applicable, the licence fee and a photograph. The application guide covers that visit in more detail.

It is useful to practise on your phone during a commute and return to missed explanations later. That study habit does not change the equipment allowed for the official attempt. Confirm the official requirements again if you change devices or arrange a different test format.
