Know which parts of practice differ from the sitting
MPI publishes a 30-minute limit for the computer-based Class 5 knowledge test. It is not open book, and phones and other electronic devices are not allowed in the test area. Our untimed reading, explanations and repeat practice are learning features, not exam-room permissions.
The MPI testing page checked for this reference does not publish a question count or pass percentage. Our mixed mock uses a practice format of its own. Confirm official arrangements with MPI rather than treating a familiar online quiz layout as the official specification.

Write down the location, arrival instructions, documents you have checked and any support you requested. Look at the appointment confirmation rather than an old screenshot of a booking page. If an item is unclear, contact the official provider before travelling.
Keep the test payment distinct from the later licence purchase and premiums. MPI lists the knowledge test at $12 when checked; the licence and applicable driver premiums are separate. Confirm current charges before paying. Practice on this site stays free.

Original worked examples
Booking screen: a candidate pays for a test and obtains a date online. That confirms an arrangement, not permission to take the official test on a home computer.
Language request: a learner studies in French but never checks the booking language. The sensible next action is to confirm the requested language and any audio option before the visit.
Knowledge pass: a candidate passes and assumes they can drive home alone. Passing is followed by meeting the relevant standards and purchasing the appropriate licence; ordinary GDL learners then follow 5L conditions.
Plan the next step for your licensing stream
For an ordinary GDL applicant, passing the knowledge test does not remove the learner stage. MPI describes a minimum nine-month 5L period. Review supervision and passenger rules before the first practice trip.
If you do not pass and are in GDL, MPI requires a seven-day wait before another knowledge attempt. Other licensing streams can have different rules. Ask MPI which stream applies, keep your result details and review the missed topics instead of booking from an assumed universal waiting period.
