A Saskatchewan Class 4 licence covers buses seating 24 or fewer, taxis and rideshare vehicles carrying up to nine passengers, and ambulances used for hire. SGI's Class 4 paper has 10 questions, and Class 4 applicants also write the 30-question Sign paper and the 20-question Basic Class 5 paper. Every Class 3, Class 2 and Class 1 applicant writes the Class 4 paper too, so it is the foundation of every commercial licence.
This page draws 50 questions from the topics we group under Class 4: licence classes and medical rules, driver condition and following distance, braking and backing, tires, fire and winter driving, trip inspections, and taxis, emergency and tow vehicles. SGI does not say which chapters each paper uses, so this grouping is our study plan. Every explanation cites the page of the SGI Professional Driver's Handbook it comes from. Practise the Sign and Basic papers with our SGI Class 7 test.
