How the simulator works
- Every attempt draws a new random set, so a retake is never the same test.
- No explanations or right answers appear until you submit.
- Move freely between questions, change answers and flag any you want to check again.
- When the time runs out, your test is submitted automatically.
- Keyboard: 1–4 or A–D to answer, ← → to move, F to flag.
Find a quiet spot. If you leave the page during the test, you will be asked to confirm.

FAQ
Exam simulator FAQ
How is the simulator different from the mock exams?
Each mock exam is a fixed set of questions, so you can repeat it and compare scores. The simulator draws a new random set of 40 questions from our 186-question bank every time, in the same format, with no site menus, ads or hints on screen.
Are these the real JHSC Part One test questions?
No. Every question is original and written from the official study guide, and each answer names the section it comes from. This is a practice simulation, not the official test, and it is not affiliated with the official test provider (Chief Prevention Officer, Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development — JHSC Certification Training Program Standard).
What happens when the time runs out?
You get 60 minutes. A warning appears with 5 minutes and with 1 minute left, and screen readers announce it. At zero, the test is submitted and marked automatically, and unanswered questions count as wrong.
How is the simulation marked?
You need 30/40 to pass. After you submit, you see your score by section and by topic, then every question with your answer, the right answer and an explanation.
Can I go back and change my answers?
Yes. Until you submit, you can move between questions, change any answer and flag questions to check again. The question map shows which ones are answered, flagged or still empty. The official test may work differently, so check with the official test provider (Chief Prevention Officer, Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development — JHSC Certification Training Program Standard).
