Start free practice →Initial certification: questions, time and threshold
OMVIC publishes 60 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes and a passing threshold of at least 80% for the initial course. That is 48 correct answers out of 60. Official delivery may be online or in person under provider arrangements. Course obligations depend on the applicant’s role and registration circumstances.
Our exercise uses that duration and reference with original questions. Its eleven-topic balance and difficulty are editorial choices. Scoring 48/60 here does not establish a measured probability of passing the official exam.

MVDA Key Elements and REVS are continuing-education routes, not translations or alternate names of the initial course. Follow OMVIC’s current directions for your registration circumstances. Do not automatically assign them the initial course’s question count, duration or threshold.
A first-time applicant and an existing registrant should not choose a program solely because its name contains OMVIC. These free exercises revise public rules and provide no continuing-education credit. Only the official process establishes enrolment, completion and the applicable route.

Georgian currently links an English 2026 manual and a French 2025 manual. They are different editions. Use the provider’s current instructions, including the 80% threshold, when an older document gives a different logistics figure. Our Books page links to the official resources rather than copying their content.
Permission to use the official hardcopy manual does not authorize every document. The provider sets identity, software, permitted-material and two-camera requirements. This printable sheet, arbitrary PDFs and external or AI assistance are not permitted merely because an exam is called open book. Review your attempt’s rules and accommodation process before starting.

From September 2026, Georgian lists CA$288.94 domestic/permanent-resident and CA$563.97 international fees, including the manual and test. The course has a 12-week window and one attempt per enrolment. Failure or expiry requires re-enrolment and the full fee; the provider also limits attempts per academic term.
The digital course credential remains separate from professional registration. OMVIC normally allows up to two years after passing to apply, subject to a possible shorter period if content changes. Do not start negotiating for a dealer by treating a course result or our practice score as authorization. Confirm the role-specific registration requirements with OMVIC.
