The CAEC mathematics test has 42 questions in 120 minutes, split into two parts. Part I gives you 12 questions in 30 minutes without a calculator: fractions and mixed numbers, decimals, percentages, integers, simple equations and the order of operations. Part II gives you 30 questions in 90 minutes with a calculator, on number sense in real situations such as tips, discounts, taxes, interest and pay, patterns and equations, geometry and measurement, and data and probability. You need 55 percent to pass.
This page builds a 42-question practice test from the math side of our bank only, so it matches the length of the real test. Every question has a full worked solution, so when you miss one you can see exactly which step went wrong. A good routine is to do the no-calculator questions by hand first, check the solutions, then repeat with a fresh test until you score well above 55 percent.
